Porus Kaka (India): *Porus is a Senior Advocate (India) and a Barrister (England & Wales) and has completed his LLM from Harvard Law School (USA). His areas of practice include all Direct Tax and International Tax Treaty Laws, Transfer Pricing and litigation. He is the lead Senior Counsel appointed in Litigation by major Multinational and Corporate Groups, Solicitors, Accounting Firms and Individuals.
He is consistently ranked as one of India’s leading Senior Tax Advocates by Chambers and Partners, International Tax Review and has been awarded the Client Choice Award by ILO for Corporate Tax.
He was President of the International Fiscal Association Worldwide (2013-2017), which made him the first President from the Asia-Pacific Region in IFA’s 75 year history. He is currently elected President of the ITAR Bar Association (Mumbai) for 2023-24. Previously, he has represented India in the IFA’s Permanent Scientific Committee. He is currently a Trustee of International Bureau of Fiscal Documentation (Netherlands) and remains an Hon. President of IFA. He was also on the Editorial Board of the World Tax Journal.
He is a frequent speaker on International and Domestic Tax issues in India and abroad, including NYU, Oxford University and University of Lausanne, etc.
